Sunkist Park

Indoor golf simulator near Sunkist Park.

Sunkist Park is Culver City's largest residential neighborhood, about 850 homes between Ballona Creek, Sepulveda, and the 405-90 interchange, organized enough to have its own association and its own opinions about cut-through traffic. What it does not have is anywhere to practice golf. After opening, Framegolf will add an option about twelve minutes northeast.

Getting Here

From Sunkist Park to first swing.

There are two good ways in. Drivers take Sepulveda across the creek and Culver Blvd through downtown. Cyclists do better: the Ballona Creek bike path runs along the neighborhood's northern edge and ends practically at the club's block, one of the flattest golf commutes in LA.

Drive time

Typically about 12 minutes (4 miles) in light traffic to 3375B Robertson Pl, Los Angeles, CA 90034.

The route

Take Sepulveda Blvd north across Ballona Creek, turn right on Culver Blvd through downtown, continue onto Washington Blvd east, then left on National Blvd and right on Robertson Pl just before Robertson Blvd.

By transit or bike

The Ballona Creek bike path runs from the neighborhood's edge to Syd Kronenthal Park, a short surface ride from the door. Culver CityBus covers Sepulveda toward downtown.

Why Indoor

Why Sunkist Park golfers go indoors.

  • A neighborhood of single-family homes still rarely has room for a net, and the nearest ranges are 20-plus minutes. After opening, Framegolf's planned private bays will provide a reserved option twelve minutes away.
  • After opening, the creek path will make practice a flat, car-free bike ride. Bike parking details will be confirmed before opening.
  • Planned member access until midnight will let practice fit after the kids are down.
  • After opening, launch-monitor data will provide measured preparation for weekend rounds at Westchester or Rancho Park.
