Our first-ever tournament is here.

The Framegolf Invitational is a 2-person team tournament played across all four of our simulator bays. Grab a partner and get ready for three rounds of single-elimination golf. Each round is 9 holes, and the format switches between alternate shot and scramble.

1st Place Team Prize: $1000 in Vessel golf bags. It's a $500 Vessel bag for each winning player and a free month membership ($300) to Framegolf.

The formats

  • Alternate shot: Partners take turns hitting the same ball until it's holed. One player tees off, the other hits the second shot, and you keep alternating. Teamwork (and trust) required.

  • Scramble: Both partners hit every shot, pick the better ball, and both play the next shot from there. Repeat until the ball is in the hole.

How it works

  • Round 1, alternate shot (9 holes): 16 teams, 4 per bay across all 4 bays. The top 2 teams from each bay advance.

  • Round 2, scramble (9 holes): The remaining 8 teams play, and the top 4 advance.

  • Final, alternate shot (9 holes): The final 4 teams play together on one bay. Lowest score wins the Invitational.

All rounds are single elimination.

Field size The Invitational is capped at 8 to 16 teams, so spots are limited. The format above is for a full field of 16 teams.

How this tournament works
Rounds

This tournament has 3 rounds. Scores start fresh each round.

Round 1: Alternate shot, 9 holes on the front nine (holes 1 to 9). Choose who moves on.

Round 2: Scramble, 9 holes on the front nine (holes 1 to 9). Choose who moves on.

Final: Alternate shot, 9 holes on the front nine (holes 1 to 9). The lowest score wins.

Alternate shot, teams of 2. Your team plays one ball and you take turns hitting it, in the same order all round. Your team keeps one score per hole. The lowest team total wins.

Scramble, teams of 2. Everyone on your team hits each shot, your team picks the best one, and everyone plays the next shot from there. Your team keeps one score per hole. The lowest team total wins.

Framegolf staff confirm who moves on after each round.

Teams that do not move on are out of the tournament.

Scoring

Every stroke counts and there are no handicaps. Framegolf staff keep the official scores.

Ties and finishing

Round 1: If teams tie on total where it decides who moves on, they play a playoff hole, and another until it is decided. Framegolf staff keep the playoff scores. Other ties share the place.

Round 2: Framegolf will post how ties are settled before sign-ups open.

Final: Framegolf will post how ties are settled before sign-ups open.

A tie for first in the Final goes to a playoff hole.

A team that does not finish every hole is listed after the teams that did, without a place.

A disqualified team is listed last, without a place.

Entry fee

$75 per player, paid by card after you sign up.

Pay within 24 hours of signing up, or by 2 hours before the start if that comes first. If you sign up later than that, you have 60 minutes to pay. Otherwise your place is released.

Until your entry fee is paid, you hold your place but are not on a scorecard or the leaderboard.

If you withdraw at least 48 hours before the start, you get a full refund. If the event is canceled, everyone gets a full refund.

One entry fee covers every round. There is no refund for a team that is out.

Prizes

Leaderboard

Scores show on a live leaderboard on the screens at Framegolf and on your event pass.

Team names always show. Your name shows as your first name and last initial only if you choose to show it when you sign up.
